Description
This classic example of quality Guatemalan coffee comes from the Santa Barbara region of Huehuetenango. If you're newer to specialty coffee.. you might have just stumbled over that last word.. think 'way-way-tenango'.
Huehuetenango is home to Guatemala's best coffees – with classic notes of malt usually balanced with some nice fruit acidity. Most of the farmers producing this lot typically grow Caturra and Bourbon varieties, with some experimentation of hybrids too.
Guatemala has always been one of the great producing countries in Central America. As we get towards the end of the year and the days get busier – it's nice to have that 'old faithful' classic cup profile before the intense days balancing family, friends, and last minute trips to the shops.
