Description
Longer term BrewBuds subscribers might remember the name Kirorero from last year. The washing station services over 2000 smallholder farmers from a number of villages in Boneza and Musasa in the Western Province of Rwanda.
‘Remote’ is a bit of an understatement for this washing station. Coffee cherries arrive by boat, bike or by foot - with no direct roads available. This lot specifically is from the Gisiza community, who travel about an hour and a half by boat just to deliver their cherries.
It’s so easy to forget how much work goes into a great cup of coffee. Our mission is to not only help you make better coffee, but to make great coffee easy and accessible. If we are doing our job well, you could easily overlook the efforts of others. We are thankful for being the last link in the chain that gets great coffee in your hands.
