Description
Kenya is one of those classic producing countries synonymous with producing specialty coffee. As the years have progressed, we not only see the classic blackcurrant acidity the country is known for, but increasingly complex juicy flavours that will keep you thinking sip after sip.
This time around we have sourced from the Getuya Factory - operated by the Mwirua Farmers Cooperative Society. Founded in 1964 - there are currently 900 producers contributing their coffee cherries to the factory.
After the coffee is delivered and sorted, it is immediately depulped, fermented underwater for 15–24 hours, and washed three times before being spread on metal drying tables. Meticulous processing at the factory leads to a sweet, clean cup you’ll want to drink again and again.
