Description
It is always a pleasure to return to the birthplace of coffee. Over my career as a coffee roaster and avid coffee drinker, a number of Ethiopian coffees have been ‘game changers’ on my journey.
It’s quite common for these coffees to deliver ‘aha!’ moments. I remember the first time I truly tasted a ‘fruit’ flavour in coffee, and it was a washed Ethiopian coffee that delivered the goods. This coffee is no exception, whether you’re just dipping your toe in the specialty coffee water, or have already dived in.
As is common with most Ethiopian coffees, this coffee is traceable to the mill. Ripe cherries are delivered by farmers from the surrounding region, and it is up to the mill to sort, grade, and process these coffees well. Expect a sweet orange marmalade acidity, balanced with a toffee body. The perfect brew for black coffee drinkers or a cheeky double shot milky!
