Over the last two years, we've been giving out a Free Sample Pack to anyone who signs up to the Coffeefusion Community subscription. This Free Sample Pack has given us the opportunity to showcase our delicious specialty coffee to many home baristas - whether you're just learning how to make coffee at home, or a certified coffee ninja!
 
During this time, a lot has been learnt about what people need from their subscription, and we've found the sweet spot between crowd favourite coffees and unique single origins. This post is here to answer all of the frequently asked questions you might have.

Why do I need a coffee subscription?

Coffee is at its best for about 4 weeks from the date of roasting. By having a regular delivery of coffee, you can make sure you're getting the unique flavour characteristics from each coffee. Even better - make sure you've got a grinder so you can control your grind size and grind just before you go to brew.

What will I get in each ongoing delivery?

We have three different categories for our subscription. Here's what you get in each:

Weekender: 20-Cups worth of coffee. (400g) - $25
1x 200g Keyboard Warrior Blend (our most popular coffee!)
1x 200g Rotating Single Origin (chosen based on your flavour preferences)
 
Daily Drinker: 50-Cups worth of coffee. (1kg) - $50
1x 400g Keyboard Warrior
1x 400g and 1x 200g Rotating Single Origins
 
Coffee Obsessed: 100-Cups worth of coffee. (2kg) - $90
1x1kg Keyboard Warrior
1x1kg Rotating Single Origin
 
NB: For subscribers selecting Filter Roast, there is one single origin filter available each week. As a result you'll receive one bigger bag each delivery.
 
If you would like a different selection of beans in your delivery, that can definitely be arranged, but may incur an extra cost (based on the cost of the coffees you choose).

 

What's in my Sample Pack?

Your Free Sample will contain 3x100g samples of the best coffees in the roastery at the moment. It will include our most popular coffee Keyboard Warrior, and two single origins for you to try and help decide which style of coffee you enjoy most.

 

Give some feedback after your samples to help us select the best coffees for you for future deliveries.

 

How do I make changes to my account?

When you start your subscription with the Free Trial, you'll receive an email to activate your online account. Once activated, log in and head to the manage subscription page.
 
From here you can Pause, Modify your next delivery date, Change the amount or type of coffee you want, and skip deliveries with ease. If you don't enjoy the coffee or your finances change you can cancel your subscription with the click of a button. Most people who try the Free Sample Pack choose to stay on, so no hard feelings if Coffeefusion is not for you.

 

What does shipping cost, and how long will my order take?

Shipping is subsidised for our Coffee Subscription. Samples will be posted out same or next business day, usually same day before 12:00 noon. 

Standard Post: $6.50 (2-7 business days)
Express Post $8.50 (1-3 business days)

Note that sometimes these delivery estimates slip with COVID restrictions in your state. Check the AusPost website for current delays in your area.
 
For your ongoing deliveries, your first paid delivery will occur at your chosen delivery interval. Ie if you sign up and select monthly, your first full priced order will process one month after you signed up for your Sample Pack. 
 
Ongoing deliveries process in the evening on the day of the order date, and are processed and dispatched the following morning.

 

 

Why do you give away Free Samples?

I believe in my coffee a lot. I've worked in the coffee industry since I was 18, and when I started my own coffee business I knew I roasted great coffee, I just needed to get people to try it. By starting a subscription it shows me you're interested in supporting my passion and helping me grow something special. I reward this with some Free Samples to show you what you can expect by putting your faith in me for your morning cup.
